The Viewer Page

The Viewer Page is used to view bitmap (.BMP) files for useful reference information or just to spice up your itinerary. Aunt Martha told us to spend lots of time looking at the glacier in Glacier Bay, so we are going to add a picture of it after day 6 (when we visit Glacier Bay). Go to the main SpareBrains page and insert a Viewer Page after the "Day 6" page. Name it "Glacier Bay" and tap OK to confirm.

The bitmap image we want to include is named "GlacierBay.bmp". To add this to our SpareBrains data file, it needs to be on the machine we are working on. If you are creating the sample file on your mobile device, you need to transfer the data file to your mobile device's "My Documents" folder using the browser window on your desktop PC. Then we can tap the "Browse" button in the Viewer Page to select the image.

There's our lovely picture of Glacier Bay. You can choose "Fit" to fit the entire picture in the frame or uncheck "Fit" to view the image at actual size with scrollbars. The "Aspect" checkbox specifies whether to maintain the aspect ratio (horizontal and vertical proportion) in Fit mode.
