Getting Started

To begin building our vacation cruise tutorial, we will first start with a blank SpareBrains file. If you don't know how to create a blank file, check out the Basic Files and Pages topic in the Business Trip Tutorial first, and then return here to continue with the Vacation Cruise Tutorial.

Using the Cruise Page

The Cruise Page is designed to help you keep track of important information about your cruise. You have several options in setting up these pages: 1.) A single Cruise Page for the entire cruise, 2.) A Cruise Page for each day, or 3.) A Cruise Page for each travel segment or port. You can also mix these methods together, which is what we will do for the sample file. Add a Cruise Page from the main SpareBrains page.

Now fill in the fields of the Cruise Page as in the tutorial example. Our sample file shows the cruise line information as well as the departure and arrival ports and times. The sample file also has the entire itinerary in the Notes field for reference.
