Using the Mortgage Page

The Mortgage Page helps you calculate mortgage payments based on amount, down payment, rate, and term. Add an empty Mortgage Page to your data file.

Click the round selector to the right of a field to give it the focus, and type in appropriate values. We used an amount of 150000, a down payment of 20000, a rate of 7.75, and a term of 30 years. You can use the calculator pad to enter these if you wish. Finally, tap "Calculate" to get the results.

Here you see the results. 360 payments, each at 931.34, for a yearly cost of 11176.03 and a total cost of 355280.94. This page is useful for playing around with different scenarios to see what best fits your budget.
